The advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed educational contexts, demanding new skills from teachers to integrate technological resources into pedagogical practices. In this scenario, understanding the level of digital proficiency of teachers becomes fundamental for professional development. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate the level of digital competence of Chemistry teachers in the State Network of Viçosa-MG and categorize them according to the dimensions proposed by the European DigCompEdu Framework. The research was conducted through the application of a questionnaire composed of a teacher profile identification form and 21 questions, distributed among the six areas of the framework, namely: "Professional Engagement", "Digital Resources", "Teaching and Learning", "Assessment", "Learner Training" and "Promotion of Learners' Digital Competence", in which the respondent chose from the 5 possible answer options. The questionnaire consisted of five possible answers, with respondents choosing between them. Each question was evaluated on a scale of 0 to 4 points, corresponding to levels A1 (Beginner) to C2 (Pioneer), allowing for the measurement of the general and specific level of digital proficiency of each participating teacher. The results indicated that most teachers are between levels A2 (Explorer) and B1 (Integrator), where the dimensions "Teaching and Learning" and "Digital Resources" showed the best performance, while "Assessment," "Learner Empowerment," and "Promotion of Learner Digital Competence" stood out as areas with the greatest weaknesses. Therefore, it is possible to conclude that the development of teachers' digital competence requires investment in continuous training, institutional incentives, and collaborative practices among peers, capable of transforming the instrumental use of technologies into an innovative and meaningful pedagogical approach.
